Our Ethical Trading Policy
Global Material Sourcing Limited is committed to trading relationships which are commercially viable and ethical. We support fair trade and will only operate with manufacturers and sub-contractors who comply with our ethical trading policy.
We regularly appraise our suppliers against these criteria. This policy sets out the minimum labour standards that we expect our suppliers to comply with:
Employment is freely chosen
- Working conditions are safe and hygienic
- Child Labour is not used (Child means below the age of 14 years old, unless local minimum age law stipulates a higher age for work or mandatory schooling, in which case the higher age shall apply)
- Wages and Benefits meet the minimum national legal standard
- Working Hours comply with national laws
- No discrimination is practised
- Human and Civil Rights are respected
Global Material Sourcing will, through it's local partners monitor all aspects of the supply chain including quality, working conditions and general employment practices. We aim to deliver products manufactured to the highest technical and ethical standards.
Global Material Sourcing is not currently a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative, however we are committed to ensure that all suppliers subscribe to the principles of the ETI's Base Code as a minimum standard. Full membership of the ETI will be reviewed by Global Material Sourcing from time to time.
